1 x Chateau Plaisance Rosé: Though the evenings may be a little cooler now we shouldn’t abandon our summer rosé habits just yet. Now is the time to plunder rosés of a richer fruit and deeper flavour, now is the time for Chateau Plaisance Rosé. Made organically with Negrette and Syrah grapes this is one of our personal favourites and is a great example of how wonderful a darker hued rosé can be. It is full bodied and has a lovely depth of redcurrant and raspberry fruit and is very versatile with foods such as roasted vegetables, barbequed fish or with meats such as duck and pork.

1 x Pinot Gris: Wayfarer Wines are Kentish winemakers based near Tenterden who have won many plaudits in this, their first vintage. Their focus on purely still wine has clearly paid off. We were particularly impressed with their Pinot Gris which offers classic pear notes, a little gingerbread spice mid-palate leading on to fresh honeysuckle notes and a long finish.

1 x Le Droit Chenin: Pascal and Beatrice Lambert produce fantastic Loire wines of great character and typicity from their biodynamic vineyards in Chinon. Le Droit Chenin is a beautiful medium-bodied white that is both rich and fresh, with bags of orchard fruit and lemon tart acidity which we adore.

1 x Les Terrasses: rouge is 100% Cabernet Franc that has all the red fruit and leafy characteristics you might expect from this quintessentially Autumnal grape along with great poise and freshness.

1 x “Heritage” Malbec: Chateau de Cedre is renowned for making some of the best wines in Cahors and their “Heritage” Malbec is no exception. It is medium to full bodied and has beautiful ripe damson and blackberry fruit flavours with a touch black pepper and clove spice. A great fireside red.

1 x Aristocratico: A wine many of you will be familiar with- “Aristocratico” Appassamiento made in Puglia with partially dried grapes- similar to an Amarone- this is a wonderfully rich and warming full-bodied wine that would be perfect with braised beef or game.
